The new 123,570-square-foot Science Building at Winston-Salem State University is a striking five-story facility with a sixth-floor mechanical penthouse, designed to advance scientific learning and research. Constructed with a durable steel moment frame on spread footings and aggregate piers, the building features a sophisticated exterior of brick, precast stone, metal panels, and glass. Inside, the facility houses state-of-the-art laboratories, flexible classrooms, a large lecture hall, and modern faculty offices—all thoughtfully designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence in the sciences.
